Peter Theobalds is an English born musician and artist. He was originally guitarist for a multitude of underground bands including Xerox Girls (pop punk - 1992), Photographing Girls (psychedelic pop/rock - 1992-4), Three Days By Camel (Instrumental/experimental 1993-4), Salem Orchid (death/black/psychedelic metal 1994 - precursor to Akercocke) and eventually turned bassist with indie rock band Fosca and latterly British progressive death metal band Akercocke from 1997-2007 with whom he recorded four full length studio albums. His surprise departure, citing personal differences in January 2007 left Akercocke to fill the role with Peter Benjamin (ex-Corpsing).[1][1]
During his 10 year career with Akercocke he was also responsible for the design and artwork for the band Akercocke. Art directing and digitally designing all the promotional material and album artwork [2][3]
Theobalds also played as live bassist for progressive Stoner/Doom band Gonga from Bristol (UK) [4] from 2007-2009.
Since December 2009 he is now a full time member of London based progressive stoners End of Level Boss.[5]
